Description

Dr. Avard Fairbanks' impression of Marcus Whitman stands in National Statuary Hall, Washington, D.C. where it was placed in May 1953. This nine-foot statue is being duplicated and will be presented to the State of Washington by the Mother Joseph Foundation in dedication ceremonies on October 9th at 2 p.m. on the grounds of the state campus in Olympia.
