Mrs. Richard Durant, shown as she appeared in 1938 after her divorce from wealthy Henry Topping, Jr., in Honolulu that she had wired James Roosevelt, demanding an immediately retraction of "the false, libellous statement" linking her name with his in the now famous separate maintenance suit letter.
