1942 Press Photo Navy tugboats Tawasa & Takesta ceremony Commercial Iron Works

Description
Keel-laying for two navy tugboats. Tawasa and Taketa, names taken from Indian tribes, were part of multiple launching and laying ceremonies at Commercial Iron Works Monday. A double submarine chaser launching was a feature in addition to dedication of a new marine railway drydock. A crowd (above) watches a keel come down.
