Press Photo Jo Anne Lee in the ice pantomime "Sleeping Beauty"

Description
Dressing A Queen When she Is In She can't Get Out. Pretty 22 year old Jo Anne Lee of Durham, who is appearing in the ice pantomime "Sleeping Beauty" at the Wembley Pool, finds she has to get to the Stadium earlier than her colleague, reason is it takes her longer to dress. Jo Anne takes the part of Queen Elizabeth I in the great Elizabethan Age Finale of the show. She wears a magnificent gown made from 25 yards of gold satin, with a huge ruff at the neck over a wired underskin. The gown is an exact copy of the one worn bt the Queen in the famous Armada painting. Owing to the great weight of the dress Jo Ann Lee has great difficulty in keeping her balance as she glides across the ice, ans she is nearly always suffering from cramp by the end of the performance. One of Jo ann's biggest headache is how to get out of her dressing room once she has got into the dress, she says doors must have been much wider in the first Elizabeth's day. Dressed in her magnificent dress as Queen Elizaneth I, Jo Anne Lee waits her cue to glide onto the ice at Wembley.
