Sgt. John J. Smith works with one of his inventions which have been perfected while he served as a member of the 82d Airborne Division's 782d Ordnance Battalion. Sergent Smith, designer of more than a dozen devices now being used by the Ordnance Battalion where he works, operated a seal cutter. The apparatus can turn out 65 voltage regulate seals a minute. Previously two minutes were required for one man to cut a single seal.
