Caption: That right mitt on the chrome sculpture of world champion prizefighter Muhammad Ali is really part of a car bumper. The 11-foot sculpture of the three-time heavyweight champion is made out of hundreds of pieces of car bumpers, torch cut and welded with steel and copper rods. The work is by local sculptor Donald R. Thibodeau and will be on display on the promenade level of the Detroit Plaza Hotel through Nov. 25.
