Caption: (NY36 - August 15) SINGER DIES -- Tenor Jan Kiepura, 62, died today of a heart attack at his home in Harrison, N.Y. Kiepura, born in Poland, made his first stage appearance in Warsaw in 1925. He later played in Vienna and at La Scala in Milan before coming to the Metropolitan Opera.
