Caption: New York's conception of a Scarecrow! What is believed the first skyscraper was placed this afternoon in the vegetable garden on the eleventh floor of Rockefeller Center.One New Yorker who has a Tenth avenue farm at 213th street, and who was on hand to give technical advice, said he thought the Scarecrow would be affective, but emphasized that he used plain white rags to ward off bothersome birds.
