Description
Caption: (FX2) SAN FRANCISCO, June 19 -- 'WE SHOULD KEEP ON TALKING' -- Vice Adm. C. Turner Joy, until recently chief UN truce negotiator at Panmunjom, his face heavily lined, points to a copy of the Korean armistice draft in which 61 of the 62 paragraphs have been initialed by the UN command. The exception is a proposal for a post-armistice high level conference. During the interview aboard the Transport Gen. H.W. Butner following his arrival today he said: "as long as there is the slightest chance for peace, we should keep on talking." (AP Wirephoto) (ehk51330stf-rhh) 1952.
