Caption: THE MYRTLE WREATH awards for oustanding service in art, government, humanities, medicine and music were presented Tuesday by the Detroit Chapter of Hadassah, National Jewish relief organization. Winners were (from left) Prof. Valter Poole, associate conductor of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra; Federal Judge Wade H. McCree, Jr., Mrs. Joseph II. Ehrlich, a past president of the Detroit Chapter of Hadassah, and Dr. Reuben L. Kahn, professor of serology at the University of Michigan. Actress Gertrude Berg also received an award but was unable to attend the ceremony.
