Caption: Paul Jennings tells a Washington news conference today that he is confident the executive board of the AFL-CIO International Union of Electrical Workers will install him as president tomorrow. He would succeed James B. Carey, who told another news conference that he will resign as president. The Labor Department ruled that Jennings defeated Carey in last year?s union election.
