Description
Caption: WASHINGTON, Jan. 17--AFTER VIET NAM VISIT--Sen. Jacob K. Javits, R-N.Y., tells a news conference today that Congress should trust the President to determine how long the pause in the bombing of North Viet Nam should continue. The Senator, who spent six days in South Viet Nam, renewed his previous calls for a full-fledged congressional debate on Viet Nam policy and a joint inquiry by Senate Foreign Relations and Armed Services Committees into all points of dissent.
