Caption: Meet Marc Brownel, 24, a handsome, affectionate young man with a contagious smile, who is mildly mentally retarded and legally deaf. Learning sign language has opened up Marc's world, and teachers say he's becoming more outgoing. To say hello, Marc pretends to snap a picture back at Free Press photographer Patricia Beck.
