It won't echo last year's thunderous debate over a site for a new Comerica bank headquarters. The bank is First of America-Southeast Michigan. It's already at home in downtown Detroit, leasing several floors of the Penobscot Building. But its lease expires in 1992, and the bank's president, David Harrison, is known to be out looking at other sites. With developers going broke right and left, building owners lost after a prestige tenant like First of America. Not only will the bank pay rent on several floors, but it'll create a high-profile branch bank in the lobby of wherever it moves.
