Description
Caption: Nearly 100 Detroit, Michigan firemen battled a five-alarm fire late Saturday night at the Stan Sax Co., a chemical firm just a few blocks northeast of historic Fort Wayne on the city's near west side. The fire, in a one-square-block building at 5657 Lauderdale, sent flames soaring more than 60 feet into the sky and set off a series of explosions. Several firemen sustained minor injuries. The firm produces a variety of industrial chemical compounds.
