Billy Covington (Robert Downey Jr.), a rebellious young pilot newly arrived in Laos from the U.S., finds he's landed in a lot more than he bargained for in "Air America." Mario Kassar and Andrew Vajna present a Daniel Melnick/IndieProd Production of Roger Spottiswoode Film. Roger Spottiswoode directed the film from a screenplay by John Eskow and Richard Rush based on the book by Christopher Robbins. Daniel Melnick is the producer, and Mario Kassar and Andrew Vajna are the executive producers. "Air America," from Carolco, is a Tri-Star Pictures release.
