Description
Priest Rapids dam as seen from the hill on the West side of the river. In the right foreground is the abandoned power plant, built in 1908. In the left center the river can be seen flowing over the Stage 1B cofferdam. In the background is the high cofferdam enclosing a 35-acre construction area. Trench in background will be filled to create the left abutment. Right background is the concrete batch and mix plant and shop area. Houses in the distance are used by key personnel of Merritt-Chapman and Scott, who are building the dam for the Grant County PUD.
