Two American Rhodes scholars at Oxford University, George Rebh, Dearborn, Mich. (left) and James Randlett Fowler, Boulder , Colo., with their wives, stop to rest and chat on the Tom Quad at Oxford. Before the war there was a ban on married Rhodes scholars. This has been temporarily lifted to permit veterans to resume their studies.
