1946 Press Photo Freight trains on siding in OWR & N Albina holding yards

Description
This Oregonian serial photo shows strikebound freight trains stagnating on mile-long sidings in the OWR and N. Albina holding yards on the west side of the Willamette river just south of Swan Island, Friday. Union station and other yards showed similar congestion. Only one switch engine was visible anywhere in the city and it was running on the main line, unattached.
