1988 Press Photo Noah House, group home in Waukesha has neighborhood opposition

Description
Noah House, a group home, ran into some neighborhood opposition when it first tried to open five years ago. The idea of having a group home for teenage drug and alcohol abusers in their neighborhood didn't thrill many residents near Racine Avenue when Noah House opened five years ago. Residents were so opposed to the home near Minooka Park that some joined the Town of Waukesha in a lawsuit against Southeastern Wisconsin Homes of Milwaukee, the operator of Noah House. Noah House won the lawsuit and hasn't heard much from the neighbors since, said Jim Kozminski, Noah House program director.

Photo measures 10 x 6.25 inches. Photo is dated 12-20-1988.
