Safe Cycling And Motor Cycling Campaign: A nationwide road safety campaign was launched today and will continue until September 30th. It will be known as the Safe Cycling and motor cycling campaign. It is being organised jointly by the Ministry of Transport, the Scottish Home Department and the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents, with the support of more than a thousand road safety committees in Gt. Britain. Object of the campaign is to redyos the number of accidents on the roads to all who ride oin two wheels. Mr. Richard Rugent, M.P. Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Transport, and chairman of the Government Committee Road Safety, performed th launching ceremony at St. Paul's School, Hammersmith. The audience numbered about 600 boys between the ages of 9 and 17. And audience of youth was chosen to symbolise the appeal of road safety workers to the drivers of tomorrow. Photo shows.
