Description
The Condor Swoops in Wigmore street: Before taking this great Condor to a West End Department Store, where it will be displayed in connection with Rachel Carson's new back ''Under the Sea - Wind'' Sheila McDuell, 21, of Camberwell posed for this picture. Carson is the author of the world-wide best seller ''The see around us''. The Condor is the largest bird of all that fly, measuring up to 12 feet across its outstretched wings. It is found in the Andes in South America, and the one shown here is believed to be the only stuffed Condor in the U.K.

Photo measures 8 x 10.25 inches.
