R.S.P.C.A. First Women Patrol Officers: With appointment of the first woman Patrol officer whose duties correspond with those of an R.S.P.C.A. Inspector, the society breakaways a tradition dating back to 1824, when the society, on its foundation appointed it's first inspector. Since that time the work of investigating and suppressing animal cruelty has been the duty of men. Today at the R.S.P.C.A. Headquarters in Jermayne-street, is Ninette Gold was congratulated on her appointment as First women R.S.P.C.A. Patrol officer. A second women Patrol officer appointed by the society, is 19-year old Pat Jones, who was born Canada. Photo Shows Pat Jones (left), and Ninette Gold, wearing their uniforms this morning.
