Viking Ship Leaves for New York. The Norwegian Viking ship "The Vikings", left Bergen Harbour on Thursday, bound for New York, with seven men aboard. They hope to complete the journey in 25 days. Owing to strong winds the ship had to use its motor instead of sails on leaving the harbour. Keystone Photo Shows: The Crew of "The Vikings" - seen on board the ship before leaving for New York. They are (L to R): Peter Johannessen, First Officer and Navigator; Rolf Schneyder, Leader of the expedition; Jaan Riss, Master of the ship Thorvald B. Lihaug; Ivar Gaaso, Wireless Operator; Lieut.
