Description

The Wiggins Park Recreation and Library Center dedication ceremonies were held Sunday at the new center on Jefferson Avenue. The library-recreation center complex is the first shared building the library and park board have built. So far, however, only the recreation center is open. No staff is available for the library. The 15,000 square foot building cost about $682,000 according to Walter Garrett of the Birmingham Park Board.
