Description
Milwaukee Sentinel - Contests. Working at the table (from left) are Ebenezer Lutheran School students: 5th-grader Alan Glazewski, 12, 6th-grader Anthony Plumeri, 11, and 5th grader Cari fuller, 11. Behind them stand 5th grader Jennifer Jenrette, 11, and their teacher, Dan Wacker. For Daniel Wacker's 10 students in the fifth and sixth grades at Ebenezer Lutheran School, 1127 S. 35th Street, the real-wrold experience came in the form of finding out what is involved in designing an ad for a newspaper, including calling the owner of the business (Meyers Family Restaurant, 6015 W. Forest Home Ave.) and trying to fit the information they gathered into a specific size. Wacker, who is the principal, at Ebenezer as well as a teacher, discovered that some of the students were very good artists and "may have an interest in commercial art as a career."

Photo measures 7.5 x 9.25 inches. Photo is dated 04-30-1992.
