Cates started in late april with six children in her ballet classes fro the hearing impaired. She expects a few more for the June session. Stephanie and Maria are not deaf but they both know sign language. Maria's grandfather has a hearing loss and so does Stephanie's sister, Cecely John, 10 who also is in the class but is not shown.
