Barbara Zaferos, of Wautosa, and daughter Melanie, 2, chose a card from the Mayfair mall Giving Tree. The Giving Tree program started seven years ago with a tree at the Southgate Mall. Kelly McCorkmick, of the Lolunteer Center of Greater Milwaukee, which coordinates the program, said that about 1,600 cards with the name, age and sex of a person who needs a gift were distributed at Mayfair. Zaferos eventually bought a gift for 2 year old Cearra Warne, Who gets the giggles after sitting on Santa's lap during a Christmas party Saturday at the Milwaukee Regional Medical Center, where she received her gift from Zaferos.
