1989 Press Photo Dan Hildebrand Holding an Artifact from the Rouse Simmons

Description
Dan Hildebrand, an amateur historian and diver from Manitowoc, holds the remains of one of the Christmas trees from the Rouse Simmons, a schooner that sank in Lake Michigan in 1912. Also in the photo are the ship's nameplate and other artifacts, on display at the Rogers Street Fishing Village Museum in Two Rivers. (Ships - Sail - Historic).
