Opening Of The Electron Microscopy Unit At St. Thomas Hospital The new Electron Microscopy Unit was opened at St Thomas' Hospital, the first of its kind, was opened today by Lord Astor of Hever. This unit which cost over ~12,000, has been provided by the Empire Rheumatism Council to advance research into Rheumatism. Photo Shows: Dr William Cochran (physicist) (seated) operating the electron microscope watched by professor D.V. Davies - Professor of Anatomy - at the Hospital this afternoon.
