Description
West Berliner/carried his bride out of an East Berlin court; A unique feat was what 22 year old West Berlin Lothar H. did last week. His 16 year old bride Heidrun had to appear before a communist East Berlin court because of "Breaking the foreign bill regulations of East Germany". Heidrun was sentence to remain in a closed youth home (a sort of youth prison) until coming of age. Her "crime" was that she, as West-Berlin citizen, had been buying things in East Berlin. During the hearing, the fiance of Heidrun, Lothar H. had been sitting in the audience. When an official of the East Berlin youth authorities took Heidrum away, Lothar H. offered him to take him and Heidrun in his car to the youth home. the official agreed, and Lothar H. started his car. But he drove not to the home but with high speed towards the border of East and West Berlin, passed the police control of the East Berlin police. Photo Shows The happy couple Lothar H. and Heidrun after their drive to West-Berlin, They will now have to find a new home in West Germany as the East German authorities will probably seek revenge.
