Drought in Ethiopia.: In the Northern provinces of Wollo and Tigre in Ethiopia, the rains have failed for three successive years thus causing widespread human suffering as well as a heavy lose of livestock owned by nomads. In some cases, entire villages have been deserted and the rural populations have moved to cities and the camps in search of food and care. The UN/FAO world food programme is providing 25,000 tons of grains to meet the emergency food needs of the victims located in relief camps, and brought food distribution centers organised by the Government with outside help. The river Arjo in the drought-stricken zone of Ethiopia. This river is normally 25 feet wide but, due to the failure of the ruins, it has now shrunk to a a more 2 feet.
