Andy Griffith, star of NBC's hit courtroom drama "Matlock," visits his home town of Manteo, NC, for the special two-hour season premiere of "Matlock" on NBC. The episode was filmed in Manteo on Roanoke Island, where Griffith had portrayed Sir Walter Raleigh at the Lost Colony Festival while a young actor. In the episode, titled "The Hunting Party," Matlock (Griffith) travel to Manteo in an effort to help a career serviceman framed for murder, and gets arrested on a phony cocaine charge.
