The area between West Delta Park's golf course and an industrial area is one of two possible -routes being considered for a highway link between Interstate 5 and the Rivergate Industrial district in Portland. The route is being opposed by environmental and other groups that fear the project would disrupt a long established heron rookery in wetlands.
