Firefighters battle a blaze Monday that destroyed the home of Lance and Nancy Scacco and their four children in the rural Carus area south of Oregon City. No one was home when the fire, which took four hours to suppress, broke out about 9 am. in the two story frame house at 13478 S, Carus Road. No damage estimate was available late Monday, but Chief Robert J Winkel said the home was a total loss.
