Description

Portland firefighter Tom Seybert holds a cat he rescued from an apartment building at 1225 SW Alder St where a fire broke out in a 5th floor apartment. No injuries were reported. Before firefighters arrived at least one tenant, Mike Taylor and a passer-by, Mike Merkelbach, fought the blaze with a fire hose found inside the building. Cause of the fire is under investigation.
