Chevron Oregon loads with crude oil at Moro Bay, Calif., while standing half-mile offshore. Tanker is the most modern, highly-automated in the U.S. fleet and one of five in her class produced by FMC Marine and Rail Equipment Division's Portland shipyard. Submarine pipeline reaches out to anchorage, connects to cargo holds by a 14-inch hose.
