1990 Press Photo Portland State University's Millar Library construction

Undaunted by the winter rain, construction of a five-story addition to Portland State University's Millar Library continues. The 72,000-square-foot addition will double the cramped library's size when completed in November. Wildish Building Co. of Eugene is general contractor on the $11 million project, which will feature a curved glass wall that will look out onto the Park Blocks and bend around a copper beech tree planted on the site more than a century ago.
