Elsie Marshall editor of American Fabrics opens a case of silk cocoons May 3 flown from Toyko to NY The cocoons will be used by the magazine next month to illustraate a special feature story on history and processing of silk. Figuring that the best way to show readers what a silk worm looks like is to get them the real thing, 20,000 cocoons wee ordered from Japan Each copy of the magazine will contain one cocoon Photo measures 7 x 9 inches. Photo is dated 05-03-1948.
