Every photo in our collection is an original vintage print from a newspaper or news service archive, not a digital image. Please see our FAQ for more information.

Description
Three Bullets were fired at the mask from seven feet away, but none of them penetrated the shield. New Berlin may become one of the first departments in the nation to purchase a newly developed bulletproof face visor that stops bullets from nearly all size of pistols. The visor, developed by a European company, was tested by the department several days ago and stopped bullets fired from several types of pistols, including a .44-caliber Magnum.

Photo measures 9.25 x 7 inches. Photo is dated 09-01-1988.
