Description
Over 300 People want to adopt baby Nicholas: More than 300 people want to adopt the gift-wrapped baby about eight months found abandoned at Rayleigh, Essex, on Friday night. He was called Nicholas after the Christmas saint, by police after he was found in a women's lavatory at Crown Hill, Rayleigh. He spent his first Christmas in an Essex county council children's home near Chelmaford , where he received more fuss than most of the other children. Police have tried to establish his identity throughout the holiday, but without success. A spokesman said last night: "We are up against a blank wall. Nicholas has no distinguishing marks and there is nothing on his clashing which can give us a clue. Photo shows A happy picture of baby Nicholas, who over 300 people want to adopt.

Photo measures 10 x 8.25 inches.

Photo is dated 12-12-1967.
