Britain's Tony Jacklin in a spot of trouble in the open Golf championship at Royal Birkdale: Britain's Tony Jacklin who shares the lead with Lee Trevino (USA) in the Open Golf Championship found himself in a spot of trouble yesterday. He hit a glorious drive down the 8th fairway but his ball lodged in the crowd against a binocular case. He was given a free drop and putted well to par the hole. Photo shows Tony Jacklin and referee consult the rule back at the 8th when Jacklin's ball came to rest against a binocular case in the crowd.
