The T.U.C. Negotiating With Aslef: This was the scene thought the lighted windows at the building which houses the T.U.C headquarters in central night last night. O the fourth floor, the gay and festive staff of the T.U.C. Have hung paper chains neat the windows. On the fifth Floor, representatives, of the ASLEF, the locomen's union, were discussing the rail dispute with the T.U.C. Committee. From left: T.U.C. Committee members Lewis Wright (weavers) George Woodcock (T.U.C. general Secretary), Frank Cousins (transport workers), Lord Carron (engineers), George Lowthian (building workers), Sidney Robinson (Shoe workers). The Aslef representatives are on the near side of the table and only the backs of their heads can be see.
