Gordon Pirie wins Awards: At the Savoy hotel this evening, Gordon Pirie was awarded the sporting Record's "Sportsman of the year" Trophy - whilst Miss Pat Smythe received the "Sportswoman of the year Trophy". Gordon Pirie was also awarded the B.B.C. Television Sports Personality of the year Sportsview Trophy.
