Gordon Pirie leaves for Norway: Gordon Pirie, Britain's cross-country champion, world recorder holder at six miles, and the man who shock the athletic world last Saturday when he won the race at White City, left London this morning for a holiday in Norway with the South London Harriers - a holiday that takes in four races at 1,500 metres (twice) 2,000 and 3,000 metres.
