Operation Kangaroo. Members of Operation Kangaroo this afternoon went along to the Royal Commonwealth Society, to receive farewell messages on the eve of their departure for Australia. Operation Kangaroo is the first trip of its kind to Australia. Operation Kangaroo is the first trip of its kind to Australia. A group of 22 young business and professional executives aged between 21 and 30 leave tomorrow (Saturday March 4) for a four - week study tour of Australia, sponsored by the Royal Commonwealth Society. They will visit Perth, Adlaide, Melbourne, Launcesten and Hobart, Canberra, Sydney, Brisbane and Darwin, and will stay throughout in private homes. Three are girls, representing the Royal Commonwealth Society, the British Medical Association, and the Royal college of veterinary surgeons. Nineteen are men, representing Bar~lays Bank, Bank of England, B.O.A.C., Commonwealth Association of Architects, Dalgety & New Zealnd Lean, Essex Institute of Agriculture, Lloyds Bank Midland Bank, Metal Box, National Framers' Union, New Zealand Shipping, Perkins Manuacturing, Piklkington Brethers, Reskitt & Celman (Overseas), J. Hanry Schroder Wagg, Taylor Woodrow Group, Tate & Lyle, University of London - Institute of Education, Westminster Bank.
