U. Thant in London â Photo Shows: U.Thant, acting Secretary-General of the United Nations, pictured when he visited the U.N. Information Centre in Stratford Place, W. This morning. He arrived in London last night on a three-day official visit, his first since he held the post; and UN finance will be discussed when he meets Mr. MacMillan tonight. Tomorrow he will meet the Queen. U.Thant took his office last November due to end next April. Britain would support his re-election.
