Caption: A detachment of cadets at Randolph Field marches off to morning classes to study such subjects as navigation, aerodynamics, meteorology and radio. They spend half their day on the ground, half in the air, and only slightly more than half of each entering class of 350 (there are three beginning classes per year) survives the rigorous training course.
