Caption: Leo Kiely, a pitcher for the Boston Red Sox, entered the majors in 1951. In 1953 he became the first major leaguer to play in Japanese baseball. He ended with a seven-season career, and posted a 26-27 record with a 3.37 ERA in 209 games.
