Caption: Rogers ?Rajah? Hornsby, baseball ?Hall of Famer? who became manager of the Cincinnati Reds in August, 1952, is shown on a phone in the lobby of a local hotel as he received word from Reds? General Manager Gabe Paul that he is through as Cincinnati?s manager. Hornsby took it philosophically, issuing this terse comment: ?I?m satisfied I did a good job. My conscience is clear.?.
